2007 Ride for the Red T-shirt
Nothing says that you support your Red Cross like an authentic Ride for the Red T-shirt.
As with every year, we use 100 percent cotton shirts, red, printed with the ride logo (as seen above) and this year's sponsor's logos on the back.
This year's front, features our 'Red Cross Rider' in front of a three-tone (black, white, and red) Royal Flush. On the left sleeve, we've added a Red Cross patch. Now you don't need an armband to show you support your local American Red Cross!

2005 Commemorative Lapel Pin
In 2005, the Ride for the Red was just an idea — Give motorcycle riders a poker run that lets them choose a route, and use that to raise money for the American Red Cross.
It caught on! With less than two months, and at least two hurricanes to deal with directly, volunteers and friends of the American Red Cross Polk County Chapter organized a ride with five stops in Polk County, for the 145 riders who came out to support their local Red Cross.
Hold a piece of that history by owning one of the lapel pins from that year. These are originals, not reproductions.

2006 Commemorative Lapel Pin
In 2006, the Ride for the Red just got bigger and better.
That year, the Ride included a start on the Circle in Sebring, in addition to the regular start at the then monthly Winter Haven Bikefest. It drew nearly 600 riders from both counties and surrounding areas.
Hold a piece of that history by owning one of the original lapel pins from that year. Whether you were there or are thankful for assistance through the years, you can show your support for the American Red Cross.

2007 Commemorative Lapel Pin
2007 was, by far, the best year for the American Red Cross Ride for the Red.
As with 2006, the Ride included starts in both Polk and Highlands Counties, but added excitement with two starting points - Honda of Winter Haven and the Circle in Sebring, 10 stops along the way to mix and match in whatever order and pace riders wanted to set, and a choice of ending at either the Sebring Bikefest or at Harbor Side Restaurant in Winter Haven.
That night, at Harbor Side Restaurant, the Red Cross was pleased to give away a 2008 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 to waitress Nicole Hearn. Tremendous thanks goes to Honda of Winter Haven for contributing the motorcycle, free of charge.
The ride was a tremendous success with more than 600 riders. People from all over had a great time wherever they went.
We still have extras of the lapel pins from this year. Whether you were there or are thankful for Red Cross assistance over the years, you can show your support!

Official Ride for the Red Kick Stand Coaster
Riders can show their American Red Cross support all year long with an official American Red Cross Ride for the Red Kick Stand Coaster.
For the 2007 ride, the American Red Cross Polk County Chapter commissioned official coasters to help riders protect their bikes from falling over on soft ground, gravel, sand, or hot asphalt. Always useful, the Ride for the Red coaster not only helps protect your motorcycle through the year, but features the chapter's Internet site so you can check back each fall for information on the next ride, and all through the year for information about activities and response by your local American Red Cross.
